Thunder + Edit - A Disaster

The cleanup is nearly done.. We manages to save quite a bit.. We did lose 6 of the 9 dolls, one crochet book and a few Christmas ormaments.. All the rest dried nicely. The basement will have to wait until it dries completely.. It's been quite busy here.. I'm taking Mom out for a fun day today.. Lunch and some shopping.. Of course, I've managed to get behind.. I'll be doing a fave and run to catch up.. I will read and answer all messages as I have time.

The weather is truly nasty.. I'm not sure how much rain we got night before last, but enough to cause a nasty flood in our basement.. I wasn't on much yesterday and probably won't be again today.. It's going to take a while to clean up the mess.. Two stacks of totes and boxes were tipped over.. Two of those totes contained some of Mom's doll collection and two other's had her collection of crochet patterns.. It's a real mess.. Grrrrrrrr.... I didn't need this!!!!! More rain is due later today and through the weekend..

Thursday we will be gone most of the day.. Mom has an appointment with her foot Dr. in Lansing.. Be here when I can.

The weather is nasty.. Thunderstorms off and on since yesterday afternoon.. I'm hoping to get this journal done before it starts again.. I'm in between waves of storms.. Once the thunder starts, the computer is shut down..

Mom is doing better.. The Dr. send a new medication to control the cough.. It seems to be helping..

I had the same problem with Thunderstorm's yesterday. Don't mind turning off my computer if I can watch the storm out my back window though. Sorry I didn't get any picks of it.

I didn't get any either.. too many trees around to get good photos.. I usually work on my jewelry when I have the computer off.. I'm one of those people that has to be doing something..

The weather here is crazy. It got close to 90 degrees yesterday and it's so hot in this house. I'm glad I have ceiling fans to at least circulate some air as we do not have the A/C units in place yet. It's supposed to be this way the next couple days and I have to bake a cake today for my co-worker's birthday tomorrow. I must get that done real soon before the heat returns once again.

I know what you mean.. We have central air so I can turn it on.. It was 85 in my room last nigth around 8.. I had teh window open to let the cooler ari in.. This house heats up easily.. I'm making strawberry shortcake, and I must get the baking done early as well..

Me too. I'm afraid sometimes I spend too much time on the computer. My daughter had me knitting some silly hat based on a character in a TV series now I'm making a scarf to match cause I had left over wool.

I had a cold, recently, and if it's the same one, it's brutal.
I'm still coughing, but it's mostly gone now.
Lemon, Ginger and honey, in hot water.
Treat your mom, she'll appreciate it.
